Automaticletters is the Design Studio of James Broad.

I am a Zürich based global Art Director, Graphic Designer and Creative Lead with 15 years experience working in the apparel, footwear, advertising and entertainment industries. My clients include Nike, Puma, The North Face, Reebok, New Balance, Speedo, IKEA and Sony.

My creative journey has taken me from London to Switzerland, via Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Nuremberg, Boston and Los Angeles.

Outside of design, I cycle, run, swim, hike, play guitar, collect vinyl and old film posters and I have a slightly unhealthy obsession for shoes.

I specialise in shaping product and visual direction through identity and storytelling across sport, lifestyle and culture, creating design that helps define some of the world’s most iconic brands.
